Our Name

We were looking for a name that represented strength, elegance, and home. At the same time, we wanted to combine it with technology, which is the heart of what we do.

It was easy to go for the word SMART from the start because we focus on smart home devices, but the other part was tricky.

We started looking for home materials, and wood is part of the foundation of a home. The properties of cherry wood are strength and flexibility; its heart is very resistant to rot and decay, which are characteristics that we were looking for, along with sophistication. It is functional and aesthetic.

That is how we chose the word CHERRY.

We noticed that the name Smart Cherry sounds harmonious and it’s exactly what we had been looking for: professional, elegant, technological, resistant, and homey.
